RIHANNA SETTLES $1MILLION LAWSUIT WITH CELEBRITY PHOTOGRAPHER DAVID LaCHAPELLE

Months ago the report that famed photographer David LaChapelle was suing pop provocateur Rihanna for what he calls illegal usage of some of his creations for her video "S&M" had sent many into wondering how well the singer will handle this case. Well today it has been confirmed that she and LaChapelle have settled out of court for an 'undisclosed amount'.

On the case, the photographer's publicist remarked hours ago stating that David is happy with the settlement. The statement comes after Manhattan federal Judge Shira Scheindlin agreed that the 'Please Don't Stop The Music' singer did indeed copy Mr. LaChapelle work back in July.

His suit argued that the video is directly derived from and substantially similar to eight photographs he created, including a dominatrix walking a chained man on a leash, a woman in latex headgear and GaGa wearing newspaper headlines.

The court also agreed that video's "pink room scene" which featured the star dominating a man in front of  a pink and white striped walls, was similar to LaChapelle's "Striped Face" photographs.
Reports claim that Rihanna was forced to pay a little less than the $1million she was being sued for.
