Mariah's Rhinestone-Encrusted Microphone in Vegas

On April 18, 2008, before conducting her E=MC CD signing event at Universal City Walk, Mariah graced the Hard Rock Cafe memorabilia collection ceremony in which she donated the Rhinestone Microphone and Microphone Stand she used on Oprah, Idol Gives Back and American Idol. The fancy microphone is currently housed and on display at Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here's what Hard Rock Cafe had to say about Mariah's fancy microphone:

The Story
Remember way back in 1990 when you first heard Mariah Carey hit those impossibly-high notes on her debut album and your dog went crazy thinking some was blowing a whistle? Good times. Now Mariah is among the super-elite bazillion-selling artists that really need no introduction. Here's a piece of Mariah-related advice: do not try to sing her songs at drunken karaoke parties. Trust us on this one. This rhinestone-encrusted microphone was Mariah's weapon of choice when she appeared on American Idol and made all the young hopefuls on the program realize they're really not very good singers after all.

Mariah Carey
Legendary diva and sultry songtress, Mariah Carey, donated this rhinestone encrusted microphone to the Hard Rock, which she used during her performances on The Oprah Show, Idol Gives Back, and American idol as part of the launch of her 2008 album "E=MC²." Two weeks prior to the release of this album, Mariah broke Elvis Presley's record of being the solo artist with the most number one singles on the Billboard charts.
